Gladstone Park Public Art Commission
The council are considering a public art commission at Gladstone Park to acknowledge the parks link to Sir William Gladstone and his families links to the transatlantic slave trade.
The council have decided not to not rename the park and surrounding streets, but instead, the ambition is to develop a public art commission, in partnership with the community to both acknowledge the parks link to slavery whilst reflecting, celebrating and amplifying hidden histories and Black leaders from or who have had an influence on Brent.
