Explore your local history at Brent Museum and Archives
Brent Museum and Archives offers free tours to local groups and organisations. Brent Museum tells the story of Brent and its communities from ancient times to the present day. Brent Archives hold everything from trade directories and newspapers to church and business records from the borough of Brent. Just drop us a line anytime to organise a trip to come and explore our collections. With advance notice, we will organise a display of historic materials, photos and maps which relate to your group’s local area and history.
The team at Brent Museum and Archives were delighted to welcome members of the NorthWestTWO Residents’ Association for a tour this April. We looked at historic maps and photos of the Cricklewood area, trade directories to discover the age of some of the group’s houses and at some fascinating letters written between a young girl from Olive Rd and her father during the First World War.
If you are interested in organising a free tour, just e-mail museum.archives@brent.gov.uk or ring 020 8937 3600.
