CALLING ALL KNITTERS … YOUR LOCAL FUNERAL HOME NEEDS YOU!
If you know one end of a knitting needle from another, or are well versed with knit one, purl one, then drop into your local funeral home.
The Co-op Funeralcare is appealing to all knitters to help create knitted poppies, which they can sell in return for a donation to raise funds for the Royal British Legion (RBL) Poppy Appeal.
The funeral home in Cricklewood will provide the knitting pattern to all volunteers in time for Remembrance Day.
“Every year we support the RBL by providing traditional poppies, but we thought knitted poppies would be a bit different and perhaps more attractive and durable.
One or two of our funeral homes provided knitted poppies last year and they were really successful, so we thought we would roll it out across the UK,” said Kerry, Funeral Arranger at The Co-op Funeralcare.
The patterns are available FREE and available until Tuesday 1st November.
