91 Mora Road

Several of us went to the consultation display about the 91C Mora Road scheme and raised issues with the developers. Later, we noticed the application wasn’t on Brent’s website any more. We asked the developers and received this response:

“Consultants for the developers of 91C Mora Road carried out public consultation concerning a planning application for three flats on this site. A dozen local residents and NW2 members visited the consultation exhibition. The developers have agreed to make four main changes to the planning proposals. The main elevations of the building are now proposed to be all in a red brick and not a mix of brick and light render-with a different finish on the ground floor facing the church. All windows facing the rear gardens of Ivy Road are proposed to be removed and replaced with roof lights. External lighting will be by low level bollards with no high level building lights. The strip of roof on the ‘office’ side of the building will be re-engineered so that it could not be used as a balcony in the future. These four changes will be discussed with the Council who may require different or other changes. It is likely that the Council will reconsult residents on these changes and a revised planning application will go before Brent’s Planning Committee towards the end of this year or early next.”

This doesn’t mention the parking issue which several raised; the original application suggested the new residents might want up to four parking permits. We’ll see if the council asks for that to be changed or if it appears in the new application.
