During July further public exhibitions focusing on the new Thameslink station, as well as providing updates on the progress of our plans for the Waste Transfer Station and Rail Freight Facility.
Brent Cross Cricklewood development and in particular the proposals relating to the provision of a new Thameslink train station and other important infrastructure. As you are hopefully already aware, the £4.5 billion Brent Cross Cricklewood development is Barnet Council’s most significant growth and regeneration programme, which will be underpinned by a number of major transport infrastructure improvements.
Under the plans given outline planning approval in 2014, the new station was due to be delivered in 2031. We announced earlier this year that this is to be brought forward and that a number of applications will be submitted this year to facilitate our new development timescales, which will see the new station open to the public in 2022.
We also held a round of public consultation events on early designs for some parts of the overall Brent Cross Thameslink project (the Waste Transfer Station and Rail Freight Facility). We would like to thank everyone who attended one of these events and provided feedback on these projects.
