So that people will be able to walk past the demolition in the middle of Cricklewood safely, Cricklewood Lane is being closed westbound from Lichfield Road / Claremont Road up to Cricklewood Broadway. The inside lane on Cricklewood Broadway southbound is being closed too. This starts on Tuesday 15 December. The Cricklewood Lane closure will run until early summer 2021, but that southbound Cricklewood Broadway lane might be opened up again in January if some sort of dedicated footway can be installed.
Cricklewood Lane will stay open eastbound, running from Cricklewood Broadway.
This means buses will be diverted again. The 226, 245, 260 and 460 will go up Claremont Road to Tilling Road, along to Staples Corner and back down the Edgware Road, the 245 getting back on track at Dollis Hill Lane and the 226, 260 and 460 turning along Chichele Road from Cricklewood Broadway. The 189 will start from Brent Cross by going via Staples Corner too, then down the Broadway into Kilburn as normal.
Buses going towards Golders Green will carry on as normal.
