BRENT LOCAL PLAN: SUBMISSION OF DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT POLICIES

 

Brent Council has submitted the document titled the “Development Management Policies DPD”, under Regulation 22 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012, to the Secretary of State for examination.

 

The draft Development Management Policies Plan sets out detailed policies which will be used to determine planning applications for development in the borough. The draft Plan underwent public consultation at Issues and Options Stage and Preferred Options Stage, before being published for comment in September 2015. On 18 January 2016 Full Council approved the submission of the draft Plan to an independent Planning Inspector to prepare for the Examination. Following Public Examination it is intended the Plan will form part of the Local Plan for Brent and supersede saved UDP policies when it is adopted.

 

The documents submitted to the Secretary of State include the Development Management Policies Submission DPD consulted upon, a schedule of proposed minor modifications to it, a statement of consultation and the Sustainability Appraisal, The documents are available for inspection on the council’s website www.brent.gov.uk/dmp at Brent Civic Centre (Mon – Fri 9am-5pm) on request from the Planning Policy Team.

 

These documents will be available from now until the end of the Public Examination (approximately summer 2016).
