Community skips | Brent Council
You can drop off up to five bulky items free of charge, as long as you can show proof of a Brent address. Click on the Brent connects areas listed below to see when the community skip is coming to you!
Please check the location and date of your local community skip the day before you go, just in case there are any last minute changes and be aware that we cannot accept builders’ materials (such as rubble), trade waste, garden waste (including soil), commercial waste, pianos, or clinical and hazardous waste, tyres, fridges, batteries, oil and paint.
Things to note:
- You cannot leave items at the locations before the event. It is counted as fly-tipping if waste is left outside of the event times and without us checking that you live in the borough
- We do not tolerate rude or aggressive behaviour and anyone who does so, we will not accept their waste
- Be prepared to be turned away if you arrive with any of the prohibited items listed above
- Provide proof of Brent residency before you start queuing and then you will be officially checked in by the council employee.
- We do not accept textiles, cardboard/paper, garden waste. There are easy ways of getting rid of these though
