Forwarding from Cllr Lia Colacicco: Our Mapesbury Sergeant, Stuart Coleman, has asked me to pass this on to as many people as possible.
The police cannot close down illegal activity unless residents are prepared to make statements.
He says “PC Jamie Daulby had a meeting with some residents the other week and explained the situation with lack of resources to tackle certain issues and put in patrols in as many areas as we would like.
At the moment I have Jamie and PCSO Ed Oniba for the whole ward, and that is it. We are extremely stretched and need all the help we can get from residents, but they just are not contacting us with their complaints. We need information to act upon.”
Non-urgent Crime can be reported by calling 101 or tweet @MetCC
