We received several reports of this scam which we forwarded to Mapesbury SNT who are building intelligence so if you have any information email: SNTQK-.Mapesbury@met.pnn.police.uk. Police have asked us to circulate following:
“Kilburn Cluster Safer Neighbourhood Teams have received some reports of a female knocking on people’s doors stating that she is either from a charity, or she has been locked out of her car and or flat and needs money for a taxi to get to work or to a relatives. She will state that she will return the money with an additional sum on top. She will not do so. The person is described as an Asian female 5″4 to 5″6, mid to late 30’s with a chubby build. Her clothing description varies from a white coat to a fleece with either The Royal Free or St Mary’s Hospital logo on it. If this person knocks at your door then please do not give them any money, obtain a description of the person and call the Police straight away. An investigation is currently being undertaken by Brent Police.”
