Tree Walk

TREE WALK: SATURDAY 15 JULY AT 11AM
MEET AT THE OLD HOUSE FOOTPRINT BY THE WALLED GARDEN

In the company of Dr Alan Harrington, former tree walk leader for the Natural History Museum, learn how to recognise a particular tree, find out when a tree was introduced into the UK and from where and a host of other fascinating tree facts.

The tree in the photo is a Box Elder, Acer negundo, the only ‘champion’ tree in the park, somewhat decaying but still producing good leaf cover and a home for a wealth of fungi and invertebrates.
