Tree Walk in Gladstone Park

park avenueOn Saturday 12th September, at 11am, come and have your eyes opened to the extraordinary variety of trees in Gladstone Park and learn how to tell some similar species apart. There are some surprising gems!

The walk will be lead by Dr Alan Harrington who knows the trees in the park well having lead similar tours around it and is an expert in his field, mosses and liverworts. One of the trees is host to a rare moss! We even have a ‘Champion’ tree though this is sadly declining.

We shall end the walk near the Stables cafe though Alan has said he will continue on if anyone is interested!
